Sir Martin Sorrell is Founder and Executive Chairman of S4 Capital plc (“S4 Capital”) the tech-led, new age/new era digital advertising, marketing and technology services company for global, multinational, regional and local clients, and millennial-driven influencer brands.
Sir Martin was Founder and CEO of WPP for 33 years, building it from a £1 million ‘shell’ company in1985 into the world’s largest advertising and marketing services company.
S4 Capital brought together digital content production company MediaMonks with digital media solutions provider MightyHive in 2018 and since then has e-combined with more than 30 companies, operating under the brand Monks. Monks has capabilities that go far beyond traditional and digital media and combines an extraordinary range of global marketing and technology services and integrating AI-driven technology to accelerate business possibilities and redefine how brands and businesses interact with the world.
In 2022 Sir Martin co-founded venture capital firm S4S Ventures which invests in and cultivates early-stage technology companies, riding the next wave of digital transformation across the marketing and media value chain.
Sir Martin supports a number of leading business schools and universities, including his alma maters, Harvard Business School and Cambridge University, and a number of charities, including his family foundation. He was ranked the second best-performing CEO in the World by the Harvard Business Review in 2016 and 2017 and received the Harvard Business School Alumni Achievement Award. He has also been nominated as one of the TIME 100: The Most Influential People. He is also an Honorary Fellow of Christ’s College, Cambridge and a Director of Bloomberg Philanthropies.
